Who is Brendan Sheerin? What did he look like when he was younger? - Coach Trip!

It may be hard to believe but Coach Trip is one of the U.K’s longest-running reality TV series.

The Channel 4 travel show has been running for almost 15 years, with series one launching in 2005.

The face of the show has never changed, however, with super Brendan Sheerin organising the trip, executing the tours and generally putting up with a bunch of annoying bullsh*t from contestants.

Here are seven things you never knew about the Coach Trip host!

Brendan is Nearly 60!

The coach host may seem like he has been around for ages, and that’s because he practically has!

Brendan was never famous before Coach Trip.

Fortunately, however, he uploads throwback pictures to Twitter… like him with hair!

He’s a Very Experienced Tour Guide

While some reality TV stars are basically actors filling a void – think Tom the receptionist in Celebs Go Dating – this isn’t the case with Brendan.

Brendan is a vastly experienced tourism and hospitality expert with over 34 years in the travel business, starting off in Costa Brava in the late 1970s.

Brendan Has a Decent Net Worth

According to netsworthpost, Brendan’s net worth in excess of £1 million.

The website gives the Channel 4 presenter a total value of  £1.3 million.

Brendan is Openly Gay

Brendan was in an openly gay relationship for 25 years.

Sadly, his life partner, Leslie, died of heart failure in 2001.

He’s from Leeds/Malaga

Brendan’s deep Yorkshire accent is a big part of his character.

However, he now lives between Leeds and Malaga, making him fluent in Spanish, too.

Brendan Has His own Book

The 59-year-old published his own book in 2011, titled My Life: A Coach Trip Adventure.

It is an autobiography and follows Brendan’s adventure from country to country as the Channel 4 Coach Trip host.

He Appears in Panto

Although Brendan hasn’t appeared in pantomime in a couple of years, he is something of a budding actor.

Hell, he even put his name in the hat to appear in Coronation Street in 2010!

While that role didn’t exactly progress, Brendan has appeared in theatres across the U.K and was last seen playing Peter Pan’s Starsky at the Hull New Theatre in 2017.
