Channel 4 has a brand new cooking show in the works that puts amateur cooks head to head against professional chefs in a series of cook-offs.
The cooking ‘gameshow’ will see the contestants face a tasting jury as they battle out against four chefs for a £10,000 cash prize.

Andi Oliver

Presenting the brand new Channel 4 series is Great British Menu judge Andi Oliver.
Andi is super qualified for the job, having been a longtime chef on Saturday Kitchen, a presenter on The One Show and a radio host on Radio 4’s award-winning The Food Programme.

Mark Sargeant
Acting as one of the four professional cooks on the show is Michelin star chef Mark Sargeant.
As a longtime colleague of Gordon Ramsey, Mark certainly knows his way around a kitchen, being awarded ‘Chef of the Year’ in 2002.
Since then he has become a published author and restauranteur and has worked on television as a presenter on ITV’s Saturday Cookbook.

Beat the Chef UK will also feature Saturday Kitchen guest chef Frederick Forster.
