When The Real Housewives of Cheshire kicked off back on April 1st, 2019 for its ninth season, fans of the show knew they were in for more drama than ever!

But with the return of Real Housewife Perla Navia, fans are still wondering how she achieved her significant weight loss.

So how did she lose all of the weight? Can it all be down to her strict yoga routine? Here’s everything you need to know…

Perla’s weight loss

To the disbelief of some, considering her petite size 6 frame, the 35-year-old has revealed she used to be a size 16.

When Perla uprooted her life in Colombia for one in Cheshire with new hubby Jonathan Barton, she claimed she became “a little bit more conscious”. 

But with a very simple method, Perla lost a staggering amount of weight.

How did she lose weight?

Perla started doing yoga in 2012. Yes, that simple!

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Perla said:

When I found yoga it wasn’t about losing weight, it was about emotional healing and then the body came afterwards.

Perla became so passionate that she started her own business, Yogi Style, where she gives classes from her own home studio. You can book classes through their Instagram page, @yogi_style if you want Perla to whip you into shape!

Perla’s vegan diet

But that’s not the only thing Perla does to keep in shape, as she cites her vegan diet as having helped transform her figure.

She became a vegan back in 2014 after being educated on the benefits and positive consequences of eating plant-based and has never looked back!
