Too Hot to Handle, narrated by Desiree Burch, is back on our screens just in time for summer and within one day, drama has already made it’s way into the group.
The contestants, who were told that they would be appearing on a show called “Parties in Paradise,” found that they were in for a shock after “fake host” Jeff Dye made an announcement.
At the end of the first day, the contestants were informed that Jeff was not a real host, and that they were actually on Too Hot to Handle, which meant that they have to resist breaking certain rules in order to win the $100,000 prize.
The first four episodes of the series were released today, and the next batch will be uploaded onto Netflix on June 29th.
Who is Jeff Dye from Too Hot to Handle?

You may recognise the 38 year-old from his appearances on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Girl Code, and NBC’s I Can Do That.
Jeff has also appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” where he finished third after only three years into his comedy career. According to his website, Jeff’s passion is “bringing love and positivity through laughter to everyone he encounters.”
Too Hot to Handle contestants respond to shock twist
At the end of episode one, the contestants are finally informed of the true nature of the show when the “fake host” Jeff announced that there will be “an internationally-renowned VIP guest” appearing on the show.
However, the VIP guest is actually a robot called Lana who rose to fame after hosting last year’s series of Too Hot to Handle. Lana quickly told the contestants that in order to win the $100,000 they must refrain from kissing, heavy-petting, sex and self-gratification.
Following the shocking twist, contestant Emily told E! News:
“I was under the impression that I was going to hook up with a bunch of guys, drink, party, and then you hear the ‘da ding. I can’t describe it any other way apart from devastating.”
Kayla added: “Oh my god, it’s just a whole whirlwind of emotions. We were all so shocked, we didn’t know what to think. I thought it was a joke. They said we had a celebrity visiting us and then Lana pops up, so it’s crazy.”
