Too Hot To Handle: Which season 1 couples are still together?

Too Hot To Handle, Season 2 is out next week – June 23, to be exact – and fans are already searching who stayed together from the first season.

If like us, you binge-watched the first season and want to find out if the broken rules and desires were worth it, you’re in the right place.

One of the first to break the rules – which led to the prize pot decreasing in money – was Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey, who couldn’t resist.

While some couples have not ruled out their romance, others may have realised that their relationship wasn’t working in the real world.

Rhona & Sharron

Rhona and Sharron had a connection on the show, and were thought to be the most loved couple by fans, but what happened after filming?

For the first few months after the show, the couple was apparently going strong. However, they did eventually decide to split.

Sharron explained in an interview with Oprah Daily:

I was having family issues. My mom was sick. I ended up closing off again. Not intentionally, but I found myself distancing from her.

In addition, the couple did admit that due to both their very busy work schedules they did not have the time to meet, and that the split was due to distance.

There’s still hope though!

Both Sharron and Rhona have both confessed that they have not completely ruled out rekindling their romance in the future.

Rhona explained in an interview with Entertainment tonight that if they were able to meet there was a possibility for them to get together again. Similarly, Sharron has said: “hopefully there’s still a chance that we can still make something work. I got a lot of love for her.”

David & Lydia

Since the show, David and Lydia have split – the romance just seemed to fizzle out very quickly.

In an interview with Jimmy Hill on Capital FM, David explained that “Yeah Lydia and I are really close, to be honest, her and I have got a really nice friendship like as far as a romantic thing it didn’t kind of go in that direction.”

He went on to say that because Lydia had come onto the show quite late, their relationship was “quite intense, so a lot of stuff happened in a very short space of time”

However, the two still seem close friends and even live streamed on Instagram together after the split:

Francesca & Harry

After filming, Harry and Francesca’s relationship seemed solid. There was even talk of Francesca relocating to California to live with Harry and the possibility for children in the future!

Despite being the last couple standing from the series, the two decided to call it quits a few months after the release of the show on Netflix:

In a YouTube video, Francesca said: “Harry and I are not together anymore, I obviously was heartbroken.

“I genuinely thought we were going through a rocky period and that we were going to figure it out. I thought we were going to end up together. I thought we were going to get married.”

Harry reportedly ended the relationship with Francesca because of the distance.

However, since the split Francesca had a high-profile relationship with the reality star, Demi Sims. Francesca moved to England so they could be together, but they too eventually decided to split.

There has definitely been a lot of drama between the cast since filming. Cast members Nicole O’Brien & Bryce Hirchberg allegedly also got together briefly following the show.

However, considering none of the original couples have stayed together since the first season, we can only hope Lana has more success building stronger relationships in Season 2!
