When will Great British Bake Off 2020 be on Netflix? Overseas fans call for Channel 4 series to be released

The UK had their eyes glued to the screen as they watched a team of bakers compete in Britain’s popular cake-making show on Tuesday night.

After seven weeks of isolation to prepare for filming during the coronavirus pandemic, 12 bakers were seen taking on cake week in a bid to make their best bakes on The Great British Bake Off.

But it wasn’t as exciting of a Tuesday night for overseas viewers who wish they could have watched the Channel 4 series elsewhere. So when is the baking show coming to Netflix? Date for 2020 series to be released!

When is The Great British Bake Off coming to Netflix?

  • Friday September 25th

It has been confirmed that the first episode of The Great British Bake Off 2020 series will air on Netflix on this date. Fans will be happy to hear that episodes of the baking show will be aired on the online streaming service three days after it airs in the UK!

Anyone living in the USA with a Netflix subscription will be able to watch the latest season of GBBO every Friday. While Canadian residents can access most seasons of the show on CBC’s streaming service Gem for free, however they will not be able to access the most recent series.

UK residents can catch up on any missed episodes of GBBO on All 4.

Fans call for The Great British Bake Off to come to Netflix

After a quick scroll on Twitter, it was clear that overseas fans of the Channel 4 show were sad to be missing out.

One fan said: “I think the world will be a little bit better of a place when there’s a new season of Great British Bake Off on Netflix.”

However after Netflix broke the news of the GBBO launch this Friday, many Twitter users were ecstatic.
