Award-winning streaming service Netflix continues to deliver thought-provoking content with news of a Maddie McCann documentary release date now confirmed.

It will tackle one of the most expansive and disputed news stories of the modern era.

The case of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has haunted many for years. Now, a new Netflix documentary will explore it all in detail. Here’s everything you need to know!

What is the Netflix Documentary About?

The Maddie McCann documentary is set to explore Maddie’s disappearance on May 3rd, 2007.

It is appropriately titled The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

The three-year-old vanished from an apartment in Praia da Luz, a holiday resort in the Algarve region of Portugal.

Many consider it to be the most widely covered missing person’s cases in modern history.

Maddie McCann Netflix Documentary: It’s here!

It was initially expected to screen in 2018. However, the project ran into delays and wasn’t ready for the public just yet.

Fortunately, it will land on Netflix on March 15th, 2019.

It’s sure to be discussed widely when it’s released.

Madeleine McCann Netflix Documentary: Who is Involved?

The film was produced by Pulse Films.

This award-winning independent studio has been attached to such projects as The People vs the NHS, No Greater Law, Pillow Talk and many more. They also aid in film production.

However, Maddie’s parents are not involved with the project.

Kate and Gerry McCann have reportedly voiced their frustration with the documentary, as have others who know them.

How Long is the Docco?

As of yet, it looks uncertain.

Apparently, it initially started as an eight-part series. However, we do know that it will be a series, rather than a feature-length effort.

There’s certainly lots of material to work with, we’re sure.
