Episode 4 will see Rick open up about his difficult childhood, where he was badly bullied from the age of 8-17.
He explains that he was picked on in school for being the ‘weedy kid’.
Speaking to Channel 4, Rick said:
Having been severely bullied as a child I have always had the drive to succeed, which allows me to endure things that 99% of people wouldn’t.

SAS: Who Dares Wins S4 – Rick
It allowed me to qualify as a barrister at 22 years old having been written off as “not academic” at school and to reach a level of success at work and fitness that few people achieve. I now understand, however, that I do this because I feel the need to prove myself constantly rather than because of the success it actually brings.
