Channel 4 brings a new series for the new year.
Series 17 of 24 Hours in A&E kicks off in January 2019.
From patients suffering strokes to car accidents, alcohol poisoning to blood clots, Channel 4 presents it all in this fly-on-the-wall type show in a busy London NHS accident and emergency unit.

Where is 24 Hours in A&E 2019 Set?
The behind-the-scenes style-show has been going since 2011.
It was first set in King’s College Hospital until 2014 but now the programme is set in one of the U.K’s largest teaching hospitals.
St George’s hospital in south-west London is the home of Channel 4’s 24 Hours in A&E.

When is 24 Hours in A&E On?
The new series of 24 Hours in A&E airs 9 pm-10 pm on Tuesday, January 8th.
The Channel 4 programme is 60 minutes long.
Expect to shed a few tears as in episode 1 – Acts of Love – you’ll see patients who do extraordinary things for the people they love, under the most difficult circumstances.
What Happens in Episode 1?
In the first episode of series 17 doctors suspect a blood clot when 69-year-old David is rushed in with severe leg pain and a pale foot.
And, 90-year-old Annie has been brought in after struggling to breathe at home. Her daughter Francesca and granddaughter Tamara wait by her side in resus, as doctors battle to uncover the cause of shadowing on her lungs.
