First Dates: Leigh's date proves saying "I don't want to be rude" means one thing - you're being rude!

First Dates’ viewers have certainly got the knack of figuring out which dates will be disasters.

From the very first moment, Jamie took the plunge when he went on a date with Leigh, but fans knew he’d already put his foot in it from the first thing he said to her!

Known as Jamie’s ‘out of league’ date, the brunette with the perfect smile became a favourite with her no-can-do attitude for the plumber’s nonsense, but putting up with it far better than most date-goers ever could.

I don’t want to be rude but… we just had to revisit the date again!

Who are Leigh and Jamie?

Leigh is a 29-year-old client relations manager from London.

The tattoo-loving First Dates star announced that she is looking for someone to fix things, such as a broken sink, and fans instantly fell in love with her gorgeous smile.

She goes on a date with plumber Jamie, 34, from St Albans. He hasn’t had a girlfriend for 10 years and is now looking for someone he can take home to his mum.

Leigh then spoke about how she isn’t experienced at the whole dating thing. She opened up about her past experiences with men, and how they have usually ended with them going off with someone else.

Leigh and Jamie’s date

Despite Jamie’s remarks, Leigh seemed to be putting up with the plumber pretty well.

She continued to use that sparkling smile although Jamie couldn’t help himself by talking about how important looks are.

Especially as it seemed to be the only thing on his mind. Forget plumbing, does he have a qualification in how to be polite? I don’t want to be rude but… it wasn’t the best start really, was it, Jamie?

What does Jamie look for in a woman…

The plumber from St Albans didn’t just speak to Leigh about what he was most worried about before the date.

He also told a man in the bogs about it.

I was so like, “Oh God, if this bird turns up and she’s rotten, I don’t know what I’m going to do. But no, she’s really nice.

Oh wait, what does Jamie look for in a woman again?

Did Leigh take the plunge on Jamie?

Although Leigh was very polite to Jamie – and he didn’t do too bad in other parts of the date – it wasn’t too much of a surprise whether she wanted to see him again…

And she didn’t let him get away with that welcoming remark.

Jamie tried to fix it, but maybe those plumbing skills don’t work when it comes to dating!
