Netflix has launched its Giving Voice film, which follows America’s Autumn Wilson Monologue Competition. So where is the winner now?
Gerrardo is amongst thousands of high school students itching to perform their monologues on New York’s Broadway.
He was given the chance to do exactly that, along with a cash prize, having won the competition – as shown on Giving Voice.
So where is Gerrado Navarro now? Updates on the star following the film!
Who is Gerrardo Navarro?
Gerrardo won the August Wilson Monologue Competition in 2018.
He was a junior at the Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts in Los Angeles.
The winner grew up in South Central LA where he claims “people don’t really talk about plays” or get the opportunity to watch them.
He initially wanted to be a TV actor due to the norms of where he grew up.

Since the show, Gerrado has grown a moustache and spends most of his time at university in Pittsburgh.
Looking at his Instagram, it looks like he recently worked with children at 24th Street Theatre for two weeks.

Gerrardo may also be Italian, as his recent post involves the caption “solito con el solito”, which translates to “usual”. His name is also Italian!
