Friday Night Dinner on Channel 4

Mark Heap

What would Channel 4‘s Friday Night Dinner even be without Mark Heap?

The actor will return for season 6 to reprise his role as Jim, the creepiest man on television.

However, sadly he will return without his faithful pup Wilson after he went to doggy heaven in season 5.

Tamsin Greig

Having played the matriarch of the family, Jackie Goodman since the series began in 2011, fans will be happy to know that actress Tamsin Grieg will be returning for season 6.

While on hiatus from the show the actress has been filming a historical drama for ITV called Belgravia.

However, she will be back filming Friday Night Dinner in late 2019.

Paul Ritter

Hilarious Friday Night Dinner actor Paul Ritter will be back alongside Tamsin Grieg as family dad Martin for the brand new series.

Little has been said about Martin’s storyline for season 6, but Channel 4 did give some hints stating:

Inspector de Vries (Paul Ritter) will still be working on the Rynsburger case, but this time he’s joined by new partner-in-crime, Mees Janssen (Tom Rosenthal), fresh out of Rotterdam Police Academy.

Simon Bird

Fans will be happy to know that Simon Bird will be back on our screens playing Adam Goodman in the sixth series of Friday Night Dinner.

In the plot description for season 6, Channel 4 stated that Adam might be getting himself into some hot water in the brand new series stating:

Eva de Bruin (Tamsin Greig) is now trying to regain control of her pharmaceutical company, after an aggressive takeover-bid by the always-cunning Sem Teuling (Simon Bird).

Tom Rosenthal

Tom Rosenthal will also be returning to Friday Night Dinner for season 6 of the show.

The actor seemed pretty happy to announce his return as Jonny Goodman on Twitter writing:

I am glad to be able to answer the only question anyone ever asks me and to say Friday Night Dinner series six is happening and will be on TV next year.

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Wilson with the caption ” This one’s for you, buddy,” – aww!
