The first series of ITV‘s Liar had the nation gripped as audiences followed the tale of Laura Neilson as she fought to bring rapist Andrew Earlham to justice.

The second and final series of the ITV drama is set to introduce audiences to a whole new set of characters including Carl Peterson.

Who plays Carl Peterson in Liar season 2?

Playing Carl Peterson in the new series of Liar is 35-year-old British actor Howard Charles.

Since earning a scholarship to train at the prestigious London Drama Centre, Howard has gone on to have a successful career in both on stage and on screen.

In 2019, he joins the cast of ITV‘s Liar alongside Downton Abbey‘s Amy Nuttall, who will play Winnie Peterson.

What else has he starred in?

Howard is probably most well known for his long-running role as Porthos on the BBC series The Musketeers which ran from 2014-2016.

Since then he has gone on to work alongside Kate Beckinsale in ITV thriller The Widow, and will soon appear in American drama The Red Line for CBS.

He is also currently filming a new spy series called Alex Rider where he will play Wolf.
