Bachelor Nation fans were thrilled to see David Spade host Bachelor in Paradise Season 7 and so were the contestants. However, the actor has decided to exit the show after appearing in just two episodes.
A short clip shared by ABC on its official Bachelor in Paradise twitter page showed David talk about leaving the show while being driven away. The show’s fans are wondering why he decided to step down. Here’s what we know!
Why did David Spade leave Bachelor in Paradise?
David knew since the time he took up the new role that he wouldn’t be doing it for long.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he expressed that hosting the reality show and filling in Chris Harrison’s shoes was harder than he had imagined.
“It’s my kind of style because a lot of people watch it like the way I was acting, just kind of goofing around with it. I liked it. I only did two. It was still hard. Things that are hard are hard, you know? You can quote me. The other ones are longer. Two is pretty fun. I liked it,” David said.
However, he was happy about the response he received from the viewers when he first agreed to take up the hosting gig.
New hosts explored
Unlike the previous seasons, Bachelor in Paradise will have multiple celebrity guest hosts.
Everybody’s favorite bartender, Well Adams, will serve as the guest host on Bachelor in Paradise Season 7. Perhaps, David had some tips on the new role for they spent a lot of time together during the actor’s latest stint.
American rapper Lil Jon will also be seen as the guest host on the latest season of the show. However, this isn’t his first time as he had previously hosted Becca Kurfun’s season of The Bachelorette.
Lance Bass will also be spicing up things by the beach by appearing as the host in Season 7. And last but not least, you can also expect to see Broadway star Tituss Burgess help the contestants navigate their love life during the course of the show.
Fans miss David Spade already!
It appears as if fans weren’t willing to lose David as the host as several of them seem unhappy about his exit. However, they have also thanked him for sharing the laughter and making the first two episodes special for them.
One tweeted, “David Spade is by far my favorite part about the bachelor in paradise.”
Another noted, “We only got 2 episodes with David Spade?! #BachelorInParadise”
“All of Bachelor Nation campaigning for David Spade to permanently host,” tweeted another.
