The real reason Kendall Jenner wore that 'inappropriate' wedding dress

After attending her best friend, Lauren Perez’s wedding back in November, Kendall Jenner has received serious backlash for her choice of outfit, so what’s the real reason she wore that ‘inappropriate’ dress?

Ironically, all eyes were on Jenner at her BFF’s wedding, though Perez didn’t mind at all, it seems the rest of the world may have some questions.

Jenner was a bridesmaid alongside other LA supermodels such as Bella Hadid. After the ceremony, the bridesmaids changed into new outfits for the reception and let’s just say, Jenner’s outfit caused quite the stir, with the general public wondering if she was trying to upstage the bride.

What did Jenner wear?

Jenner changed into a ‘barely-there’ Monot little black dress that was covered in wide cutouts.

Some of Jenner’s fans were obsessed with the look, calling it ‘iconic’, however, others thought it was iconic for the wrong reasons.

One person commented “So disrespectful to wear this. In every photo, you see her, not the bride.” Another added, “How to upstage the bride 101.”

Why did Jenner wear the ‘inappropriate’ dress?

It has been made clear now that Jenner asked Perez in advance about the dress, showing it to her and receiving permission to wear it at her wedding.

You can see Jenner’s comment underneath Perez’s Instagram post, explaining to trolls that she didn’t ‘blindside’ the bride.

Perez didn’t have a problem with what Jenner wore and even stood up for the supermodel saying she looked “stunning” and that she “loved” the dress.

What did Lauren Perez wear for her wedding?

Perez ended up with a stunning Vera Wang custom made a dress for her special day. After initially not having a clue about what she wanted, Perez said she loved the process of searching for her dress.

Perez had asked Wang for “something to make me feel like a bride and have my moment without feeling like something is wearing me.”

The couple looked perfect as they walked down the aisle with her husband, David, opting for a custom Prada suit.
