With every new series of Made in Chelsea comes new levels of awkwardness.
While some have criticised the reality soap for overly scripting situations at times, one thing we can’t deny is the incredibly entertaining scenarios that producers bring to our screens.
In episode one of series 15, it was a ‘coincidental’ meeting between Jamie Laing, his ex-girlfriend Frankie Gaff, and newbie Melody that had us curling up our toes.
The McVities guy introduced us to his new girlfriend/friend/nobody really knows, Melody, who flew in from South Africa having met Jamie at a wedding abroad.
For poor Melody she was chucked straight into the deep end of life in SW3.
Having momentarily stepped off the plane, Melody was introduced to all of Jamie’s friends, experienced a huge party that was thrown for no reason, and met her fella’s ex.

The most awkward moment saw Melody bump into Jamie’s ex Frankie alongside Jamie Taylor.
We know, right, out of all the small back-alleys in London . . .
The small talk lasted literally seven seconds before Frankie rushed into the gossip, asking “how long have you two known each other?”.
Jamie did well to deflect the topic, explaining that Mel had flown to the U.K to visit some friends and that he was “coincidentally” there as well.
Err, yeah, you do live there mate.
Frankie didn’t hang around with her brash probing about her ex – who asks this, two seconds after meeting someone new for the first time!
As you may have expected, Jamie and Melody looked at each other in awkward disbelief.
Calm your sh*t Frankz.
As the awkward convo simmered down both Melody and Frankie went into full girl mode as they walked away.
Blissfully unaware that the girl she was just introduced to was Jamie’s ex, Mel came out with the classic:
“They seem nice!”
On the other hand, Frankie turned to her friend Jamie for some support, desperate to check-in on her own beauty.
The fact frankie asked if melody was prettier than her shows she’s not over jamie! #MadeInChelsea

Frankie still as self obsessed as ever. You can see she is plotting to screw up Jamie's relationship #MadeInChelsea

Jamie went on to explain that the blonde-haired girl who asked all sorts of inappropriate questions was his ex, although it didn’t seem to bother Mel.
Later at the grand party and Mel was confronted by Jamie’s friend about her intentions with Jamie.
It all sort of came about in a polite ‘strap a lie detector to her arm’ type of manner.
Episode one finished with confusion over the relationship between Jamie and Melody, with Jamie admitting that he wasn’t sure if he found her sexually attractive and that they hadn’t had sex.
That said, they did kiss.
A glimpse into the next episode showed Mel and Jamie having a bust-up, so tune in to E4 on Monday 19th January 2018, at 10 pm, to watch episode two.
