Following an absence in episode four, Courtney Green returned to The Only Way is Essex admitting that she had split up with boyfriend Myles Barnett.
But, as the break-up drama unfolded, we witnessed another shock in the dying moments of the episode.
A rumour that Myles had cheated.

A Fresh Start for Courtney
Courtney was almost in tears as she met with her gal-pals to explain that she had ended things with Myles.

Courtney said: In the relationship, I was so worried about him, and about what made him happy, that I totally forgot about myself. Really, I’ve lost who I am as a person.”
Courtney admitted that she “had to make the decision for herself”, coming to a brave final conclusion of empowerment.

Same Old for Myles
On the other hand, Myles confessed to close friend James ‘Lockie’ Lock that he had made a lot of mistakes, although still wanted to make things work with Courtney.
Myles added: I cannot lose her. So, I’m gonna do what it takes to win her back.”
Great Gossip for the Girls
Myles and Courtney’s hardship allowed for plenty of gossiping from the rest of the Essex gang.
Chloe Meadow’s led the proceedings while the other girls listened in with burning ears.
The old “I’m sure she’d tell you anyway”…
The following scenes were so scripted they hurt, but they were flung into episode five to depict just how super-keen Myles was to win back his ex.
They even included a Hollyoaks-style zoom in over a text message.

“I Cannot Lose Her”
Tracing back to Myles’s earlier quotes where he confessed “I cannot lose her”, revelations that he had cheated on Courtney probably weren’t in his ‘how to get back with an ex’ manual.
Nevertheless, in a shocking preview of next week’s episode, we witnessed Myles coming under a fire for rumours that he had cheated.
He didn’t exactly squash those rumours with might, either…
