DIY rainbow filter
If you feel like being creative there are a few ways that you can get the amazing rainbow effect with everyday household items.
If you have an old CD knocking about (remember those?) then you can create a rainbow cast by shining a phone torch light onto the CD and bounce the light onto you or the person you are photographing.
Similarly, you can do this with a prism, if you hold up a prism on a sunny day, or near a strong beam of light, you will get rainbows all over the room, so you can snap a lovely shot.
Finally, you can fill a bowl halfway with water and put a mirror inside the bowl so it is half in and half out the water. Then place it near a sunny window so that the light hits the mirror, and voila, pose in front of your homemade rainbow!

PicsArt editing app
If DIY is a little bit too hands-on for you, then you can easily download the free version of the PicsArt editing app from the App Store.
Once you have the app, download a free sticker pack called ‘ Rainbow Dreams’ which you can insert to any existing photo via the sticker button on the editing panel.
This is a great option as it allows you to choose the size of the rainbow, and you can upload it to any selfie you already have – simple!

Inbuilt Instagram rainbow light
But if all of those options feel like too much work, you can always use the inbuilt rainbow feature in your Instagram app.
The effect is located in the filter section of Instagram stories, which you can access by clicking the round smiley face in the top right corner.
From there you will be given a list of effects to choose from, simply scroll to the filter called ‘ Prism Light’ and a rainbow will appear on the screen so you can snap a sweet selfie like Khloe!
