Rumour has it this summer’s series in the Big Brother house will be its last, since the contract with Channel 5 is up after this. With Love Island hoovering up headlines, and declining ratings, even for January’s 21st edition special, it’s going to take a major reboot to keep CBB on the air.

When is the Celebrity Big Brother Start Date?

Channel 5 have not officially announced when Celebrity Big Brother will launch.

However, they have said that it will air every night in August, on C5 at 9 pm.

This means that the series launch will be either on Wednesday 1st August or perhaps Tuesday 31st July, as Love Island 2018 comes to a close.

What Big Names Are They Never Likely To Get?

The big focus this year has been on trying to woo adult film star, and one-time Trump lover, Stormy Daniels to come and join the fray. An eye-watering offer doesn’t appear to have tempted her though, with her agents roundly turning down any and all reality show offers… for now.

Who Will We (Probably) See in the Diary Room?

Although nothing’s confirmed yet, the rumour mill has been in overdrive.

Charlotte Dawson – formerly Ex on the Beach, Five Star Hotel

With Jess Impiazzi going down a storm last time out, producers will be hoping to recapture some of that sass and connection with viewers, so this time they may well look to the daughter of the late Les Dawson. Can she bring that bikini glamour to the CBB garden?

Bobby Norris – TOWIE, Celebs Go Dating

As a regular guest on Big Brother’s BOTS – Bit on the Side – Bobby’s reality show hopping would make CBB his next logical step. Watch this space, and his social media for hints.

Sinitta – singer

All anyone is talking about is whether the show will meet her self-confessed ‘ridiculous’ rider. Providing tequila – all she drinks – isn’t beyond the reach of CBB producers, but can they really guarantee that no one will swear in the house because Sinitta finds it offensive?

The previous series suggest there’s too much bleeping for that to ever become reality. And who remembers ‘You are live on Channel 4… please do not swear’ from Davina?

Georgia May Foote – Corrie actress, Strictly contestant

There won’t be much fox-trotting in the CBB house (or will there?) but Georgia was popular on the BBC dance show, and producers could look to capture some of that likability to balance more volatile personalities in the house.

Wait and See for CBB

In the coming weeks we’ll find out for sure if the celebs above are going in, and whether they’ll be joined by ‘The Chuckle Brothers’ or ex-Strictly dancer Brendan Cole, amongst others.

If it is the last time out, expect CBB to go for their biggest and boldest summer yet. Watch out for their Twitter announcements and all the news and gossip right here.
