Episode 1 of the new First Dates series set the tempo for yet another incredible series.

Season 11 kicked off with the introduction of Abbi and Lee, who enjoyed perhaps the most natural bonds of all the dates on the show.

However, things didn’t end the way Abbi had hoped, leaving a disgruntled taxi man to chip in with a hilarious one-liner!

Abbi and Lee

When we were first introduced to Abbi and Lee it seemed as if they were polar opposites.

Lee described himself as a “party guy” and the life and soul of any party.

Cue a super-cringe piece to camera where he does a little rap…

Abbi, however, was more on the quiet and reserved end of the scale.

The 32-year-old explained that she would much rather stay at home with a cup of tea than hit the town. However, that didn’t stop her from rocking a super-glamorous outfit.

Go hard or stay at home, eh!

Holy Guacamole

The pair enjoyed some flirtatious and playful chat, displaying the type of natural chemistry that First Date fans thrive off.

In particular, the chat almost turned X-rated as they dissected their plate of sharing nachos and flirted over the sloppy guacomole.

Cup of Tea Values

Abbi and Lee looked like they were really hitting it off with constant chuckling and laughter.

However, the sticking point seemed to be their differences when it came to having dessert and Abbi’s choice to have a cup of tea.

Could there be a more British way of not finding someone attractive than your differing opinions on tea…

Although they joked over the whole ‘tea’ dilemma, it was the fact that Lee was more a late night beer man that saw their date end sourly.

In the final piece to camera, Lee explained that he didn’t want to go on a second date because there wasn’t the right chemistry, adding “there’s a geezer out there waiting for you with a cup of tea.”

Fortunately, however, it was this random taxi man who had the last say as Abbi hopped into her cab!
