Not only do the Love Island contestants get to spend their summer in a luxury villa, have a chance of winning £50,000 and get to meet a load of sexy singles.

There’s also such a thing as the ‘Love Island clothing allowance’.

Last year, a Love Island insider revealed that contestants are given money to spend on unbranded clothing for the show. According to the same source, they also get an on-site counsellor and in-house caterer.

C’mon now that’s just being spoilt!

You can BUY contestants’ clothes on the Love Island app! Here’s how!

What’s The Clothing Allowance Deal?

Although we don’t know the exact amount of money the Love Island crew get to spend on clothes, it’s probably more than a few quid.

For this year’s series four, the ITV2 series cut a deal with Missguided and, which is where all of the contestants’ garms come from. We imagine money isn’t really involved, and that the cast is allowed to pick whatever clothes they fancy from these brands.

Let’s have a look at who’s been making the most of that generous clothing allowance and who is quite frankly wasting it.

Series Four Best Dressed: Kazimir Crossley

By the looks of things, Kaz’s style has become the envy of the nation.

From head to toe, she is always looking fresh and flawless…

Series Four Worst Dressed: Dr Alex George

Shirt after shirt, Dr Alex isn’t doing himself any favours.

We’re not sure if he should have been allocated a personal stylist as well as the clothing allowance…

Previous Islanders

We’re not sure how, but last year’s Love Island winner Amber Davies managed to bag herself two huge fashion deals following the show.

Flares, stripes, bright colours, you name it – Amber D wore it.

Her fashion sense was criticised during her time in the villa, and viewers did not hold back.

Throwback to Series One

In terms of Love Island fashion history, Hannah Elizabeth was the GOAT.

Here’s a reminder of her most outrageous outfit choices.

Let’s just say that the fiery Liverpudlian provided us all with enough glitter, sequins and fluorescent colours for a lifetime.

Now, to all you future applicants, if you make it onto Love Island there’s a good chance that you’ll walk out of that villa the same way you went in – single.

On the plus side, you won’t leave empty-handed.

You’re sure to fly back to the UK with a whole new wardrobe!
