Few Love Island couples actually go the distance.
Series 4 brought us winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer, runners-up Paul Knops and Laura Anderson, bronze medallists Kazimir Crossley and Josh Denzel, and finalists Wes Nelson and Megan Barton-Hanson.
However, there were several couples who left the villa together, determined to prove the doubters wrong.
Were Georgia Steel and Sam Bird’s defiance against the Love Island producers worth it? And what happened to Samira Mighty after she quit the villa for Frankie Foster?
Which Love Island couples 2018 are still together? – Here are the answers!
ENGAGED? Jack and Dani
Team Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer are very much still together, although they’re not engaged – yet!
The series 4 winners have now moved into a flat together in the London Docklands area with their relationship continuing to move forward at a hurtling pace.
In fact, Dani recently tweeted that she and Jack were engaged, although it turned up to be a very cruel prank.
Dani recently confirmed a new ITVBe series which will follow her and boyfriend Jack’s lives since leaving the villa. This includes them moving into a flat together and getting a new puppy.
Together, they now have almost six million Instagram followers and truly are the new-age powerhouses of reality TV.
SPLIT UP: Samira and Frankie
Although Samira Mighty was a fan favourite in Love Island 2018, she quit the villa only a couple weeks before the final.
And all in vain, looking back!
Samira kicked boyfriend Frankie Foster to the curb after he was caught kissing another girl on a night a few weeks after leaving the villa. Frankie’s rep said:
Frankie wholeheartedly knows that his actions were not acceptable and has apologised to Samira.
And that’s the last we ever saw of them together…
SPLIT UP: Laura Anderson and Paul
The quiet and conserved Love Island couple, things looked as if they were going well for Laura Anderson and Paul Knops.
However, the runners-up were spotted having a heated argument outside a restaurant a couple months after Love Island had finished.
A few days later and, the pair officially broke up, two months after leaving the villa.
SPLIT UP: Georgia Steel and Sam
Sam Bird and Georgia Steel decided to walk away from the Love Island villa after refusing to break up (it was a random rule chucked in there to spice up series 4).
Everybody thought that these two wouldn’t last a second on the outside world, although they proved everyone wrong – at least temporarily!
The pair looked sincerely happy together on social media until Sam randomly announced that they had called it a day on October 17th.
Georgia said in an Instagram snap:
I’m very sad to say me and Sam have split. I will always care about him. However understand that this is a hard time for the us both. Thank you.
STILL TOGETHER: Wes and Megan
Wes Nelson and Megan Barton-Hanson have been showing off their love by moving in together.
Wes shipped out of his parent’s house and headed into an apartment with his girlfriend near her hometown in Essex only a month after leaving the villa.
Other than Jack and Dani, these two look like the strongest Love Island series 5 couple out there – who’d have thought it!
SPLIT UP: Jack Fowler and Laura Crane
Jack Fowler and Laura Crane split up in early September.
Following months of rumours and speculation surrounding their relationship, the pair said they couldn’t make it work due to varying work commitments and having to spend a lot of time apart.
Having only spent 10 days in the villa together, it wasn’t exactly a surprise. Looks like Jack will be staying in Croydon and not finding out where Croyde is after all.
SPLIT UP: Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake
Rumours had been swirling around Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake’s relationship ever since they left the villa: Charlie flirted with another girl on the plane home, Charlie threw Ellie’s clothes out of an apartment window, etc etc.
Now, they have officially split up, announcing the news via their Instagram accounts.
It doesn’t look as if either of them are hanging about when it comes to moving on, either.
Charlie is official with some new chick while Ellie has been snapped kissing both Joey Essex and Pete Wicks!
STILL TOGETHER: Kaz and Josh
Kazimir Crossley and josh Denzel have been relatively quiet in the press considering they came third.
But this is good news.
Loved-up on Instagram, the pair look inseparable right now, proving one of the best matches from Love Island 2018.
STILL TOGETHER: Adam Collard and Zara McDermott
The underdog story of the century, Adam Collard and Zara McDermott are still together!
They parted ways on Love Island before reuniting when Adam was booted out of the villa on day 33. Since then, however, their relationship has gone from strength to strength.
The general public was expecting player Adam to instantly move on to another girl – just as he did in the villa – yet that may prove quite difficult now.
You know, considering they have matching tattoos! (Adam has a Z on his wrist, Zara has AC on her index finger)
