Did Ant Middleton serve in the military?
Err yeah, imagine if he hadn’t.
Ant is a former special forces hero who first joined the military ranks in 1997 at the age of 16.
The 37-year-old was born in Portsmouth and raised in rural France, starting his military journey with Royal Engineers.
He went on to represent the Royal Marines, 9 Parachute Squadron Royal and Special Boat Service, serving as a point man, lead scout, primary fires operator and sniper.
Ant’s huge wealth of military experience and skills means he is one of few that has served in the ‘holy trinity’ of the UK’s elite special forces. In other words – don’t mess.
What tours has he served in?
Ant has been on several tours of duty in conflicts around the world.
The first came in 1999 when he saw active service in Northern Ireland during the Troubles.
Two years later he travelled to Macedonia during an insurgency in the country as part of a peace keeping force. He also completed government training in Sierra Leone and completed two tours of duty of Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008.

Speaking of his time in Afghanistan, Ant said: “One time I was working as a helicopter sniper and this vehicle was firing at us, so we did what we had to do.
“Flying back, the Chinook was a bit shaky and the pilot told me that four bullets had gone through the window where I’d been sitting and hit the inside of the roof of the helicopter.
“The bullet holes were about three centimetres from the hydraulics.
“A few centimetres to the left and they’d have hit my head.”
Is Ant Middleton married? Does he have a family?
Sorry ladies, but yes, Ant is married to wife Emily.
He also has five children.
