Neither Ibiza Weekender or new spin-off series Weekender: Boat Party would be the same without David Potts.

The hilarious holiday rep joined the show in 2016 for series 5, where he quickly moved from assistant rep to head rep the following season.

Now known as ‘El Jefe’, David is captain of the ship on Weekender: Boat Party and in charge of virtually everything bar the steering of the vessel.

But who is David in real life? What’s his 9 to 5?

How Old is David?

The Weekender’s David Potts is 25 years old.

According to website Famed Star, he was born on May 5th, 1993.

This makes El Jefe a Taurus.

Where is El Jefe From?

Although given a Spanish nickname that translates to ‘the boss’, El Jefe is from England.

His accent and witty one-liners add a much-needed comical touch to Weekender: Boat Party, with David boasting a strong Manchester accent.

He was born in Bolton.

Is He Gay?

Captain David is openly gay although he rarely lets romance conflict with work.

Unlike infamous holiday rep Jordan Davies, ‘El Jefe’ isn’t exactly renown for necking on or getting on the pull.

If Zac Efron was to step onto his ship in the next episode, however, things might change…

What is David’s Real Job?

Well, he’s a holiday rep – of course!

David isn’t head rep of Weekender: Boat Party for no reason, holiday repping has been his profession for a few years now.

While it may seem like the reps do little more than slam shots and drink cocktails, David’s job is to organise the entire island hopping experience.

When he’s not performing on ITV2, El Jefe is working as a rep in Ibiza, Magaluf and other holiday hot spots. He also does guest appearances as a TV personality.
