At the end of Made in Chelsea episode 8, audiences were hit with the revelation that Jamie Laing and Sophie ‘Habbs” Habboo may be dating.

Initially, reports across tabloid newspapers surfaced pointing at a ‘secret romance’ between the Made in Chelsea.

Then, Monday night’s (May 13th) episode finished with Olivia Bentley telling Habbs that Jamie fancied her. All arrows may point towards a Habbs and J-Laingz relationship but here are five reasons we simply refuse to believe it!

1. Have you seen how mature J-man is nowadays?

We’re not referring to his hair transplant or the literal fact that Jamie will turn 31 in November, but the long-standing SW3 lothario genuinely looks to have matured.

In episode 7 of Made in Chelsea 2019, Jamie opened up to Olivia Bentley, where the blonde-haired beauty reassured J-man that he would find the right person eventually.

It was genuinely one of the most heart-warming and honest scenes in MIC history, so why would Jamie waste his time on Sophie Habboo?

2. Sam Thompson is Jamie’s best friend

Heat Magazine led with the headline ‘Sam Thompson and Jamie Laing at war’ although there’s no actual evidence of this.

The pair have been good friends for years and quite frankly we simply can’t see Jamie snaking behind Sammy’s back just for a quick fling with Habbs.

We’re sure that the rest of MIC season 17 will clear up what has actually happened between Jamie and Habbs but we still can’t envision a serious relationship looking at both of their pasts.

3. Who actually trusts ‘unidentified’ sources?

The story originally came from The Sun and was bolstered by a quote.

An unnamed and unidentified quote that is, simply referenced as ‘Mr TV Source’.

Who actually trusts this? A TV source told The Sun:

Sam has been left devastated by Jamie’s actions. They’ve been close friends for years and Jamie knows how heartbroken Sam was when Habbs finished with him.

Habbs should have been massively off limits – but instead he’s been hooking up with her behind Sam’s back which has really shocked their entire friendship group.

4. Jamie literally just broke up with Ell!

With Jamie announcing that he had split up with Heloise Agostinelli in an early May episode, it only takes a few charges of the brain cells to work out that the break-up is still extremely fresh.

For starters, filming for MIC isn’t live and is done weeks or months in advance. Not to mention the fact that Jamie said that things were going strong in an interview on April 1st.

It’s believed that El and Jamie split up in mid-April, meaning reports are suggesting that he moved on the from a strong one-year relationship within a couple of weeks.

Hmm.

5. Have you heard of Verity Bowditch?

Anyone watching Made in Chelsea right now – not sure if The Sun does – will notice an obvious spark between newbie Verity Bowditch and Jamie Laing.

If you were to put money on a relationship rising from Jamie and Ell’s break up, it would be on these two.

Made in Chelsea episode 8 teased that something is going to happen between Jamie and Habbs although we still believe Verity will be there in the long run.
