Caitlyn Jenner is an American media personality and retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete. The trans TV star shot to further fame when her family had their own TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Caitlyn Jenner played college football for the Graceland Yellowjackets, but sadly suffered a knee injury during their time there. She was convinced by another Olympic decathlete’s coach to try the sport and never looked back over the next six years. She bagged a medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal for the men’s decathlon. It also set a third successive world record, and Jenner was dubbed an All-American hero.
Following on from her sporting success, she established a career in film, TV and business, as well as once being a cover on Playgirl.
Formerly married to Momager Kris Jenner, they went on to share two children together.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner were born in 1995 and 1997, and added to Kris’ expanding family with older siblings Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian.
Before marrying Kris in 1991, Caitlyn Jenner was married twice before, with Linda Thompson – they were together for five years between 1981 and 1986 – and Chrystie Scott, with whom the athlete was with from 1972 to 1981. Caitlyn Jenner and Kris broke up in 2021.
Caitlyn Jenner also has children from previous relationships, Brody, Brandon and Burt Jenner, as well as Cassandra Marino. Although, they don’t often appear on the family’s reality shows.
She publicly came out as a trans woman in April 2015 and announced her new name two months later. Caitlyn Jenner had her own spin-off show I Am Cait where she documented her gender transition.
