Outlast fans beg for season 2 after binge-watching survival show
Outlast fans are already begging for a season 2, so let’s see if Netflix has given Outlast the green light for another season. Netflix’s new…
Outlast is a Netflix survival reality series set in the Alaskan wilderness. 16 rugged contestants must compete against each other as they try to survive the unforgiving fall season in Alaska. However, these “lone wolves” must follow one crucial rule: they must work together if they want a chance at winning the massive cash prize.
That’s right, Netflix‘s Outlast puts one million dollars on the table, up for grabs. But, which survival expert will Outlast the rest?
Season 1 of the show consists of eight intense 45-minute episodes and is set to premiere on the streaming service on March 10, 2023.
Coming from Nomad Entertainment and Aggregate Films, the series is executive produced by Grant Kahler, Mike Odair, Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Emma Ho. Following the release of Physical: 100, a popular Korean survival reality series, Netflix, has become a one-stop shop for survivalist shows, and viewers are loving it. However, unlike Physical 100 which released episodes in batches of two, Outlast is dropping episodes all at once.
Binge-watchers are over the moon with the news as they can watch contestants battle through the Alaskan temperatures through the weekend.
In fact, Alaska appears to be the hub of USA survival shows as the popular series Race To Survive Alaska will premiere just after Outlast on April 3. The show is very similar to Outlast and will see eight teams of two race over 100 miles, sourcing their own food and water, in the hopes of winning the $500,000 prize.
