Chris Oliver joins SAS Who Dares Wins replacing Remi Adeleke
SAS: Who Dares Wins is back for series 8 on Channel 4, and this time it’s Jungle Hell with new DS Chris Oliver. Fans may…
SAS: Who Dares Wins is a military training television programme where an elite team of ex-special forces from the UK and USA recreate the gruelling secret selection process. They put contestants to the ultimate test of their lives in a series of fitness challenges to see if they have what it takes.
The intense training puts a team of 30 recruits under both physical and mental strain as they attempt to prove they are resilient until the very end. The guests, from varied backgrounds and body types, spend eight days taking part in the regiment as each hour-long episode focuses on various elements. Themes revolve around character, fear, survival, weakness and interrogation. Full emotional, physical and mental potential is strained and put to the test.
Some of the extreme challenges from SAS: Who Dares Wins include carrying 30kg in backpacks on a long-distance run, or completing push-ups in the middle of the night on train tracks. It’s not just about weight-lifting and endurance, as some episodes push the limits of the mind as well. Contestants were forced to fall backwards off a 100ft cliff and into a river in one clip.
The Channel 4 show first aired in 2015 and has seen the popular spin-off show also become a hit with fans, with celebrities also taking part.
Former host Ant Middleton hosted the show and was replaced by Rudy Reyes in 2021 as the new Chief Instructor.
But who will prove they are not only fit to pass the Special Air Service secret selection process, but almost superhuman?
