The battle rounds of The Voice UK and the first stage of the knockouts are officially in full swing, which means one thing: the semi-finals are close.

Here is everything you need to know about this year’s semi-finals and the 16 contestants who now have one foot in the finals.

Olly Murs will be joined by Anne-Marie to help mentor his team through the tough knockout stage.

As one of the UK’s most fresh popstars at the moment, Anne-Marie will certainly give them great advice.

Georgia impressed in her first audition with her cover of Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’. This performer is definitely a popstar in the making.

Molly works part-time in a vintage shop with her mum, but the rest of her time is spent pursuing her musical ambitions. This 17-year-old wowed all of the judges with her musical abilities and confidence at such a young age.

Stefan definitely had one of the most memorable blind auditions of the series.

After performing Childish Gambino’s ‘Redbone’, he was asked to perform again with his bandmates who were watching from the side. The band impressed with their performance of Gnarls Barkley’s ‘Crazy’.

will.i.am’s guest mentor will be none other than Pussycat Doll legend Nicole Scherzinger.

As one of The X Factor’s most beloved judges, Nicole definitely knows how to whip singers into shape.

Her skills as a mentor will definitely be useful for Team Will.

Nxt Gen – Semi-finalist

Confident and cheeky, Nxt Gen are the boyband we didn’t know we needed!

The three talents guys showed off their vocal ability in their performance of original boyband legend Justin Timberlake’s ‘Cry Me A River’.

Team Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson is joined by pop prince and Years & Years frontman, Olly Alexander.

The singer and actor will be a great mentor to J-Hud’s team, giving them all the lessons in stage presence they could ever need.

Moya – Semi-finalist

Moya wowed in her first audition, having all four coaches turn their chair for her. It was the Battle between Moya and Bethzienna that was her most difficult challenge, as both women are absolute powerhouse vocalists. Jennifer eventually chose Moya to stay on her team.

Another contestant talented beyond their years is Bukky. Bukky’s blind audition was one of the most watched on YouTube, with over 1.2 million views of her rendition of ‘Say Something’.

Nicole Dennis blew everyone away in her audition, especially when Jennifer Hudson joined her on stage to sing ‘And I am Telling You’.

Nicole was the understudy for Effie White in a West End production of Dreamgirls, the same character J-Hud played in the film. Watching those two perform it was a truly standout moment of The Voice UK 2019.

Country-pop trio Remember Monday wowed with their tight harmonies and sassy performance. They are definitely one of the strongest groups in this season.

Deana Walmsley – Semi-finalist

Deana’s stunning performance of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ wowed Sir Tom, earning her a spot on his team. Olly and Will also turned for her, but she chose to go with the legend Tom Jones as her coach.

Originally from Texan, Cedric now lives in Brighton and works as an actor. He impressed with his performance of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Higher Ground’, charming the audience with his stage presence and vocal ability.
