Did Kelly Clarkson get COVID-19?

No, Kelly did NOT test positive for COVID-19. The singer revealed she was feeling under the weather. She had hinted at her absence in an Instagram post she made on March 22.

Kelly posted a video in which she thanked someone for taking her place on the show. However, she never revealed the face or the name of the person. She captioned the post as: “Hmmm… I wonder who’s sitting in my chair.. any guesses??”

Nick Jonas, Blake Shelton, and John Legend joined in on the fun and pretended that Kelly’s absence would not make much difference. The viewers finally got to know that Kelsea would be filling in for Kelly as the latest episode aired.

Kelly even thanked her in an Instagram post. She said: “thank you so much @KelseaBallerini for sitting in for me while I was feeling under the weather! I know my team is in great hands with you!! Y’all aren’t going to want to miss this!! The battles start next week.”

Will Kelly Clarkson return for the next episode?

Kelly never revealed what exactly happened to her. However, we can expect her to be back on the show after feeling better.

It seems like Kelsea was filling in only for one episode. After the episode ended, she tweeted: “When @kellyclarkson calls and asks you to keep her seat warm, you put all those years of being her superfan to work. thank you @johnlegend @nickjonas and ole pops @blakeshelton for making me feel like part of the @NBCTheVoice family.”

Meanwhile, even though Kelly was absent, fans have been cheering for her team on the show. There is no doubt the show will be packed with entertainment once again when the singer is back.
