Where is Jayla from The Rap Game now? 2020 updates on season 2 rapper!

Jayla from The Rap Game went head-to-head with four other youngsters in a bid to spit her best bars and be crowned the winner of the hip hop competition.

Lifetime’s The Rap Game saw a group of budding rappers go against each other to impress executive producer Jermaine Dupri, who had a music contract on offer for one of them. Jayla was amongst the contestants on season 2, however her time on the show ended before the other contestants. The final came down to Lil Key and Mani.

It has been four years since the young rapper starred on the rap show. So where is Jayla now? 2020 updates!

Meet Jayla Marie

Jayla is a 16-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter and actor from New York.

The Rap Game star has covered the song Somebody, originally performed by Natalie La Rose, as well as Chris Brown’s No Guidance. She has also worked with LL Cool J, Kid Ink and Fabolous.

She recorded her first song when she was three years old and began choreographing her own dance routines at five. Jayla also has a large fanbase with over 550,000 followers on Instagram.

Jayla on The Rap Game

Jayla was on The Rap Game when she was 11 years old alongside winner Mani, Lil Key, JI, Nia Kay and Mini Barbie. She was announced as the first to leave season 2 of The Rap Game.

She performed in front of rappers Queen Latifah and Snoop Dogg while on the show.

When her departure was announced by Jerome, she said:

I know I’m going to be the next biggest thing, so I just want to say thank you for this opportunity and you are missing an opportunity to sign me but thank you.

 

Jayla also admitted she had some development to do.

Where is Jayla Marie now?

Jayla has built her Youtube up to 183,000 subscribers, where she posts regular music updates and gives fans a general insight into her life, such as fitness and streetwear.

She has gone from rapping to singing – but also performs and dances in her ‘JMix’ remix music videos.
