Who is Anubis?
Anubis is a 20-year-old Drag Queen from Brighton.
They love living in Brighton, and explained in an interview with Pinkably, that they love the freedom the city provides them with, as well as how everybody knows everybody there!
Anubis is the Egyptian God of the afterlife – and as they haveEgyptian heritage, this was the inspiration for her Drag name.
To everyone’s surprise, they only began drag as a professional career when they were 18! However, Anubis has been in the music industry since the age of 13.
Anubis on Drag Race
In the short introduction video to Anubis, the Queen describes her drag as wacky, outrageous, and exquisite. So, they are definitely going to bring a lot to the table for this season of Drag Race.
Anubis explained that their shows are known for being “chaotic” and is usually “running around the audience, screaming at the top of my lungs”.
The contestant believes that drag is missing a wacky character, as there are too many “carbon copy drag queens”.
Anubis claims to be a “fierce competitor”, so it seems the Queen is ready for everything Ru Paul is going to throw at them.
