Bringing Fixer Upper to the TV screen is Chip and Joanna Gaines, who are known for transforming clients’ homes from boring to beautiful. They also have a B&B anyone can stay at…
The married couple are the talent behind Magnolia Homes, a remodelling and design business in Waco, Texas. Often, they convince homebuyers to buy the worst house on the block and make the place extraordinary.
Ever wanted to get a feel of their talent in real life?! Well, you can. They literally have a B&B situated just in front of their house, and we explored what a vacation involves – from costs to what’s on offer!
- OMG: What is Fixer Upper’s Chip and Joanna Gaines’ net worth?
Where is Chip and Joanna’s B&B?
The Fixer Upper co-host’s B&B is situated directly in front of their former carriage house, which was also renovated and designed by Chip and Joanna. It is based in McGregor, Texas, at this address: 323 S Madison Ave, McGregor, TX 76657.
The B&B is so popular that it literally had six months worth of rental bookings within seven minutes of being made open to the public. It first opened in 2016 and is a short 15-mile drive from Waco.
Chip and Joanna’s vacation rental property is actually a late 1800’s house, and is now called Magnolia House (hence the name of Magnolia Network, where their show features).
Magnolia House: Costs
Despite popular belief, the property isn’t actually a bed and breakfast, because no food is provided. Technically, it is a vacation rental property which requires customers to rent the entire room, rather than a single room.
With a two-night minimum on reservations, bookings can only start on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. The following list shows the differing prices for weekdays and weeknight stays:
- Weekday Rate: $795
- Weekend Rate: $995
- Sunday Night Rate: $497.50 (only available if you also book Friday night and Saturday night)
You can book to stay at Magnolia House by clicking here.
- OH NO: The incredible Fixer Upper furniture unfortunately isn’t there to stay
The Fixer Upper rental: What it offers
Each room has a farmhouse feel, similar to Joanna’s usual style. Groups of up to eight can stay in the vacation rental, which includes six beds, two bathrooms and an entire kitchen for everyone to enjoy.
Free Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer and free parking is also available for customers. At the time of writing, most of the dates up until June have already been booked, but from summer onwards – you’re in luck!
A carriage house is also available to rent, which was renovated on Fixer Upper. Located in Grapevine, Texas, the home was moved onto the property in the 1980s and was renovated during Season 3. It starts from a weekday rate of $545.
