Gia Giudice's ‘Waking Up In The Morning’ resurfaces amid RHONJ drama

You’ve heard it a million times on TikTok, but did you know that the Waking Up In The Morning song actually originates from a young Gia Giudice singing about family drama on RHONJ?

The now-viral TikTok sound actually has a pretty sad sentiment behind it and, on a recent RHONJ episode, Giudice even said that the message still rings true a decade on.

If you missed it, here’s what Gia had to say on the latest family drama…

Viral TikTok sound originiates from RHONJ star

The Waking Up In The Morning song blew up on TikTok last year, but not many know that the sound actually originates from a young Gia Giudice.

Back in 2011, when The Real Housewives of New Jersey was just on Season 3, 10-year-old Giudice wrote the now-viral song in reference to her mom and her uncle’s drama.

At the time, Teresa and her brother Joe Gorga’s family drama had taken the spotlight of the show, impacting on Gia and her sister.

The star then performed in front of a handful of people, telling Milania’s birthday party guests that she had made up the song “especially for my mom and Zio Joe.”

Gia Giudice says ‘Waking Up In The Morning’ still rings true

It’s been over a decade since Gia gave us all a tearful performance of Waking Up In The Morning but, apparently, the sentiment still rings true.

On an episode of RHONJ, airing February 15th, the family drama continued. Gia and Milania felt pretty upset after finding out that Joe Gorga was upset with Joe Giudice, and things only escalated from there.

Referring to her made-up song, Gia told RHONJ viewers: “Milania, her end goal is just for everyone to get along.

“Just like the ‘Waking Up in the Morning’ song I wrote so long ago for my family to make up, it’s still going on. Which is really sad.”

Uncle Joe makes peace with this Giudice girls

Thankfully, by the end of the episode, peace was made between the family and Gia didn’t have to pull out the song again.

“Listen, I apologize. I don’t want to argue anymore,” Joe told the girls.

“We always get in this rut because we’re still living in the past. We’ve got to let go of the past and remember that we’ve all been through so much, and it’s okay to be angry. Let’s love. Let’s not ruin our family.”

Cheers to that.
