The documentary series 24 Hours in Police Custody follows British police forces as they investigate different crimes against the clock.
It continued on Monday night (March 18th), airing one of the most shocking episodes to date.
The episode followed Bedfordshire Police as they looked into a child sex abuse case in Luton. The police later arrested a local man for multiple offences.

What happened to Asim Hussain?

24 Hours in Police Custody’s Asim Hussain is a 32-year-old drug dealer from Luton.

He is currently serving a six-year jail term for drug offences and was later handed an additional 18-month sentence for possession of indecent images of children.

According to Cambridgeshire Live, Hussain received his 18-month sentence last month (February 11).

How did Asim Hussain get caught?

Asim Hussain was initially locked up after local police found large amounts of drugs and cash whilst searching his home back in February 2017.
The police were searching his home after being given a warrant to do so. The warrant was given after police discovered that a resident at Hussain’s address was accessing indecent images of children.
Several digital devices that belonged to Asim Hussain were recovered. The devices were storing over 54,000 indecent images of children.

What happened in court?

Hussain was first charged for his drug-related offences. He then pleaded guilty to a further six charges.

The first three charges were for making indecent images, and the remaining three were for distributing indecent images.
