A timeline of Pete Wicks and Gatsby’s blossoming bromance - from pizza box shenanigans to today

The Only Way is Essex is back for its 24th series!

The new 2019 series is in full swing and as always there’s no shortage of drama.

Anyone who follows Towie will know that Pete Wicks and Liam Blackwell have never seen eye to eye, but it looks like they might have now cleared the air for good.

Here’s a timeline of Pete and Gatsby’s relationship from pizza box problems to a blossoming bromance…

Megan McKenna and Chloe Sims

Gatsby and Pete’s feud started back in 2017.

As it turns out the men have almost always been arguing about women.

Firstly, Gatsby took Pete’s BFF Chloe Sims out on a few dates which Pete didn’t like.

Then Megan McKenna had beef with Gatsby when she was going out with Pete.

And Gatsby made comments about how Pete neglected his friendship with Chloe Sims when he and Megan were together.

So, the pair were never really off to a flying start as buddies.

The Towie pizza incident

In April 2018 Pete Wicks and Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell had an actual altercation on an Essex street.

The argument was ignited by Pete’s girlfriend at the time, Shelby Tribble, apparently ‘grinding’ on Gatsby in a club.

Gatsby said he was letting Pete know ‘what his bird was like’ and Pete said that he wasn’t too bothered about the said incident.

Things got heated when Pete and Shelby were walking down the street and bumped into Gatsby to the point where Tommy Mallet had to break up a fight.

To add an element of comedy, after declaring that he was ‘The King of Essex’, Gatsby later ripped a pizza box from Pete’s hand and ran off with it.

Pete and Gatsby are friends

Believe it or not, after all the pair’s relationship issues, they’ve now become the best of friends by the look of things.

During TOWIE series 24 episode 5 Pete and Gatsby joined James ‘Diags’ Bennewith as he got a haircut.

And it seems Twitter is pleased with the bromance, too.
