The Biggest Loser

Sydney-born Ajay hosted all four seasons of The Biggest Loser on Network Ten over 10 years ago.

She wrote five books, ‘Confessions of a Reformed Dieter’, ‘The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Losing Weight and Getting Fit’, ‘Food You Love that Won’t Make You Fat’, ‘5-Minute Diet Book’ and a children’s novel, ‘Blubberguts’.

During her time on the show, Ajay fully transformed her body and went from being morbidly obese to an estimated size 10-12.

However, in 2009 Ajay was axed from the show after being caught up in a welfare fraud court case.

Ajay pleaded guilty and entered a 12-month good behaviour bond.

At the time she asked the court not to record the conviction against her in the interest of her career, however, ten years later it’s clear to see that the negative press had an effect on Ajay’s work.

To get away from the Australian media Ajay moved to LA and took up the role as a casting director.

She has had a steady stream of TV work in the U.S., she regularly appears on TMZ and CBS Insider and even found success working in Germany for RED TV (Germany’s version of E! Entertainment).

Ajay has landed on her feet work-wise, and it looks like after dramatic weight loss and gain she’s now at peace with who she is and often promotes body positivity movements on social media such as #droptheplus and #fatisnotabadword.

Ajay’s Family

Born in 1969, Ajay had a rough start in life when she was adopted. She says she was physically and mentally abused by her adoptive mother.

Tragically, a year after finding her birth mother in 1992, her birth mother committed suicide.

Today, 49-year-old Ajay has a son, Kai, who is 19 years old. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at the age of 5.

It was after the birth of her son in, that Ajay appeared on her first TV documentary, ‘Larger Than Life’ and lost 50 kg.
