Ryan Thomas was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2018 on Monday night (September 10th).

The 34-year-old’s victory was met by deafening cheers from the live audience as flocks of fans voiced their support for the former Coronation Street actor.

Moments after Ryan had sat down with TV presenter Emma Willis, the incident involving Roxanne Pallett became the centre of attention.

However, Ryan’s message to Roxanne was warm and merciful. This is exactly why we love him!

Ryan Thomas Interview

Ryan held back the tears as he was interviewed by Emma Willis, with roars of public support often overpowering the sound of his voice.

Emma probed about his feelings towards Roxanne Pallett, expecting Ryan to feel bitter, having been made to look as if he had physically abused his housemate during his time on the show.

Despite the potential career-ruining accusations of his housemate, Ryan offered his forgiveness.

Ryan said: If she wants forgiveness and it makes her feel better then I would rather give her that, because I think she’s been punished enough by the public and people around her.”

Roxanne Pallett ‘Punchgate’

Ryan briefly relayed the incident, which is now being labelled as ‘punchgate’.

At the time, Ryan was distraught. He had no way of knowing what the general public saw, and struggled to cope with the idea that he was being portrayed as deliberately violent towards Roxanne.

Ryan said: As it unravelled, as it became bigger and bigger, the thing that scared me the most was when Ben (Jardine) told me she couldn’t stay in the room with me because she was scared.

That rang alarm bells and then the game became real life for me. I did break.”

Fortunately, the outcry of support towards Ryan has been never ending ever since the incident.

Roxanne has used air time to sincerely apologize, and it looks as if Ryan’s merciful bravery to forgive Roxy could be the final piece in the jigsaw.
