It’s time for five celebrities to truly experience Britain’s camping culture.

Sleeping under the stars, warm hot chocolate in hand and roasting s’mores sounds like a dream but with germophobes, arachnophobes and very few practical skills in tow, it looks like there’s a lot of room for error in this series.

So, here’s who is going to be braving the outdoors…
Bobby Davro, Michelle Collins, Joe Swash, Cheryl Baker and Stephen Bailey.

Who’s Going Camping?

They’re packed and ready to go. These five celebs probably have no idea of how to put up a tent, start a fire or cook on a camping stove but they going to give it a go!

Here are the five celebrities going camping…

Michelle Collins

Michelle is probably best known for playing Cindy Beale in BBC One soap, Eastenders.

She later joined the cast of Coronation Street and has had many soap-star roles in Casualty as well as Midsomer Murders.

In 2016 Michelle took part in Bear Grylls: Mission Survive so she should have at least some experience in this camping stuff.

Joe Swash

I’m A Celebrity…Extra Camp presenter Joe is one of the five celebs about to embark on a camping trip.

In 2008, before his presenting days, Joe was crowned King of the Jungle.

With all that Jungle experience, camping in Dorset shouldn’t exactly be hard for Joe!

Bobby Davro

Bobby Davro is the third celeb ready to whip out a deck chair and a flask of cocoa.

Best known for playing Vinnie Monks in Eastenders, Bobby also had a stint on Dancing on Ice in 2010.

Roasting some marshmallows over a fire has got to be easier than trying to woo Shirley Carter?

Cheryl Baker

One-third of pop group Bucks Fizz, Cheryl Baker, is ready to embrace the great outdoors.

Cheryl’s group won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981.

At 64 years old Cheryl shows no signs of slowing down as the group – now known as The Fizz – are planning on releasing new music.

On her Instagram, Cheryl wrote that “she’s doing alright for an old bird.”

Stephen Bailey

Comedian Stephen Bailey should bring some laughs to the celeb’s camping trip.

Stephen presented Celebs on the Farm in 2018 and is a regular on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

His comedy show ‘Our Kid’ is currently touring the U.K.

When Does Celebrity 5 Go Camping Start?

Head over to Channel 5 on Friday, January 4th to see the five celebs attempt outdoor living.

Backpacks, walking boots, thermals and torches packed, the celebs will kick off their trip at 8 pm.

The programme will air for 60 minutes.

What Happens in Episode One?

The first episode of the show sees the celebs begin with breakfast overlooking Poole Harbour in Dorset.

Before setting up camp, they get some first-hand advice from a bushcraft instructor on making shelters and starting fires.

The celebrities then attempt to set up camp when fifth member Cheryl Baker arrives!
