Who is Claudia Winkleman?

Born in London, 46-year-old Claudia has had a majorly successful journalism career.

She’s now listed as the BBC’s highest-paid woman earning between £450,000-£499,999 per year.

Claudia currently co-hosts BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and has previously presented Film…, Let’s Sing and Dance and The Great British Sewing Bee.

Winkleman’s TV career kicked off in 1991, however, she started out as a travel writer, writing for The Sunday Times, Metro and The Independent.

Her parents are Eve Pollard and Barry Winkleman. Claudia has a half-sister from her father’s second marriage, Sophie Winkleman, and a half-brother on her mother’s side Oliver Lloyd.

Claudia’s husband

The Strictly Come Dancing presenter married Kris Thykier in 2000.

Kris (46), is a film producer best-known for producing Woman in Gold, Kick-Ass and The Debt.

The pair live in Westminster’s Connaught Square along with their children.

How Many Children Does Claudia Have?

Claudia has three children with her husband, Kris.

Jake (15), Matilda Martha (12), and Arthur (7).

Her daughter, Matilda hit the headlines in 2014 when her Halloween costume set alight.

Matilda was treated for severe burns when she was out Trick or Treating and a Jack O Lantern set fire to her costume.

Since the event, the government have tightened the rules on flammability standards of Halloween costumes.

In a 2015 interview with Closer Magazine Claudia previously spoke out about how she doesn’t own a single TV set as she’d “prefer her children to use their imagination”.

Her daughter, Matilda, also appeared in the 2013 film I Give it a Year as a bridesmaid.
