Dancing on Ice is here for 2019!

Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield are set to host a brand new series of the show.

Love Island’s Wes Nelson, TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, Westlife’s Brian McFadden and Didi Conn from Grease are some of the contestants ready to skate it out for the top spot.

Didi Conn Age

Didi, who played Frenchie in one of the most famous movies ever – Grease – was born Edith Bernstein.

She celebrates her birthday on July 13th, 1951.

At 67 years old she’s ready to whack on some skates and brave the ice!

Didi’s Family

In 1975 Didi married Frankie Conn however they divorced three years later.

She’s been married to composer David Shire since 1982.

Didi has one son, Daniel, who is 27 years old. Daniel was diagnosed with Autism as a child.

Didi’s also stepmother to David’s son, 43-year-old Matthew Orlando, who works as a screenwriter.

Didi Conn’s Career

Other than starring alongside the likes of Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta in the 1978 film Grease, Didi has had many other acting roles in American sitcoms – notably playing Denise in Benson.

Didi’s career has taken her to the theatre as well as doing voiceovers for children’s programmes. She’s also made many celebrity appearances on game shows.

Didi Has a Book

As a tribute to her pink-haired musical days, Didi released a book, ‘Frenchy’s Grease Scrapbook “We’ll Always Be Together”‘, in 1998.

It’s labelled as a ‘must-have for Grease mega-fans’, and it’s available to buy through Amazon.

The book contains memories of Didi’s first day on set of the film in 1977 and much more.

Didi’s Husband’s A Composer

Didi’s husband, David Shire, is a composer of musicals, stage performances, television and film scores.

He has worked on the soundtracks for some of the most widely known films such as Saturday Night Fever, The Conversation and All The President’s Men.

David also worked as Barbra Streisand’s accompanist for many years and has conducted orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Symphony.
