Landscapes For Learning
Craig’s company designs and manufactures outdoor educational playsets.
They outreach to primary school and provide different pieces of outside learning equipment such as custom-made see-saws, play-kitchens and sandboxes.
Craig wanted £50,000 for 15% of his company.
My goal as a former teacher and a father of three is to get children outside, exploring the world around them and experiencing life first-hand while facilitating learning through play”
A Heart-wrenching Story
The pitch soon became very emotional as Craig was asked if he was taking dividends from the business.
Craig explained that he had taken dividends after leaving his teaching job due to depression and desperately needed funds to help pay off debt.
Peter Jones probed further, to which he received a heart-wrenching response.
Not only was Craig there for his family but he managed to pull them out of financial hardship with his invention of Learning For Landscapes.
The Dragons appeared moved by Craig’s success and inspiration, jostling over a potential deal.
Eventually, the 37-year-old accepted an offer from Peter Jones for the full sum of money, albeit for 30% of the equity.
Craig’s daughter is healthy and well, with her dad adding that she is “proud of her scars”.
