Another year of reality TV is about to unfold.
From TOWIE to Made in Chelsea, combined with Brits abroad looking for love in Ibiza and Southern Italy, it’s all going off in 2019.
Here’s a rundown of every must-watch reality TV series that is airing in the UK over 2019, including the staple shows and new releases!
Ibiza Weekender 2019 (January)
Ibiza Weekender will be the first reality TV series to kick-start the new year.
Starting on Sunday, December 6th, your favourite holiday reps will be back in Ibiza causing chaos on ITV2.
There’s a return for series stalwarts Jordan Davies, Callum Izzard and David ‘El Jefe’ Potts as well as three new reps!
The Bachelor UK 2019 (February)
Channel 5 have confirmed that they will be launching a Bachelor U.K series in 2019, seven years since the last season.
Without Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother, C5 will be looking to conquer up a new blockbuster reality TV show.
There are little details about the new Bachelor U.K series although adverts are already broadcasting on TV.
Details about the show and it’s launch date come out on Valentine’s Day, so it is likely to start by the end of February or start of March.
Celebs Go Dating Season 6 (February)
Although a start date is yet to be confirmed, we anticipate another instalment of Celebs Go Dating will come after Shipwrecked finishes airing, around Sunday, February 24th.
Season 5 was a bit of a flop but it looks as if the E4 series has pulled out all the stops to bounce back with a bang.
Season 6 features Sam Thompson, Kerry Katona and David ‘El Jefe’ Potts from Ibiza Weekender!
Made in Chelsea Season 17 (March)
March commonly marks the return of Made in Chelsea, which is almost an all-year-round series with the abroad spin-off and extended Christmas episodes.
Not that we’re complaining mind, the series is just in desperate need of some exciting new characters!
The Only Way is Essex Season 24 (April)
April is when the reality TV schedule really starts to pick up, with TOWIE entering the U.K TV schedule.
The Essex gang have been slapping on the drama as thick as their make-up in recent series with enough bust-ups to warrant countless Ofcom complaints.
Only in Essex, ay…
First Dates 2019 (April)
First Dates is also likely to return around April with season 12.
Love Island 2019 (June)
The first week of June will mark the fifth series of Love Island – and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever.
Love Island has become the only reality TV show that creates celebrity superstars in a matter of weeks.
Applications are still open by the way… just saying.
NEW SHOW: Five Guys a Week
Channel 4 have announced a brand new reality TV series set to air over 2019.
Five Guys a Week will take dating to a whole new level as one woman lives with five different men for seven days, attempting to get know them all in her quest to find love.
With the same executive director as First Dates and First Dates Hotel, it could be a banger!
First Dates Hotel 2019 (August)
First Dates Hotel should be back in August with applications for the 2019 series still being accepted now!
Ex on the Beach Season 10 (August)
The MTV series has been on the decline over recent seasons but a star-studded cast could soon change that.
Airing against Love Island is a daunting task for anyone reality TV show so perhaps it will air later in August than previous years.
Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls 2019 (September)
September is the hardcore more month of reality TV fans with The Undateables, Celebrity Island, X Factor and a host of new shows getting a test drive just after summer.
Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls 2019 has not been confirmed but we can’t see a reason why it wouldn’t get another reboot.
X Factor 2019 (September)
Considering a song about sausage rolls claimed the Christmas no.1 slot, X Factor 2018 winner Dalton Harris must feel pretty cheesed off.
Nonetheless, X Factor will be back in September, looking to rebuild their reputation following four straight years without a U.K chart Christmas no.1
Weekender: Boat Party Season 2 (October)
At the end of Weekender: Boat Party season 1, the ITV2 series unofficially announced a season 2 by explaining which cast members had ‘kept their jobs’.
The ratings were good, so all aboard a second series!
The Apprentice 2019 (October)
The Apprentice 2019 always airs around October, and this year should be no different.
