Episode eight of Made in Chelsea brought us to the stunning shores of Sri Lanka.

Harry Baron casually jetted his friends 5,000 miles towards the southern tip of India, all because Olivia Bentley was feeling a bit down.

Here’s everything you need to know about their destination, the Shangri-La’s Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa.

The Location

The Shangri-La Hambantota resort is pretty damn ridiculous.

It’s plonked directly on of the pristine southern coast of Sri Lanka, with huge stretches of private beach allowing you and your friends to bathe in 58 hectares of personal paradise.

Or, if you’re Sam Thompson, smash a ball around like you’re Sanath Jayasuriya…

The selling point of  Shangri-La is its unique location, nestled between extraordinary nature and wildlife sanctuaries.

Fresh young coconut in hand, we saw Harry whisk his girlfriend, Melissa Tattam, away on a boat trip.

Capturing the beauty of the Yala, Udawalawe, Lunugamvehera and Bundala National Parks, the MIC team well and truly top-trumped The Only Way is Essex holiday episode.

Imagine staying at a hotel with all of this on your doorstep.

Remember the name, kids – Shangri-La’s Hambantota Golf Resort & Spa.

The Rooms

The luxury resort boasts 300 spacious rooms, including 21 suites, all surrounded by stunning tropical gardens.

Room rates at Shangri-La’s Hambantota are from £232 per night, meaning Harry Baron forked out a fair amount if he paid for the entire group of five.

Still, the rooms are pretty ridiculous…

Activities

The resort is full of activities, including the only golf course in Sri Lanka.

We didn’t see the Chelsea crew taking on 18-holes, although they did make full use of the three outside swimming pools, spa and Artisan Village.

An evening of craft making, tequila shots and watching traditional music performances looked like the perfect way to cure any Digby worries.

WATCH Made in Chelsea every Monday night, on E4, at 10 pm.
