Is it humane that Georgia Steel brought her rabbit on a lead to Celebs Go Dating?

Fans of Celebs Go Dating were left in shock when Georgia Steel appeared to take her rabbit on a walk in episode 8.

The gobby Love Island star is proving a lot like Marmite during her time on E4’s dating show, with not just the general public but the men she dates either loving or hating her.

One uber-cute ball of fluff who probably wasn’t enjoying G’s company was pet rabbit Winnie, who was dragged along to see dating agents Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson.

Here’s how the rabbit walk unfolded and your thoughts on Twitter.

Here’s the incident where Georgia walked her pet into the agency.

While the premise of carrying around your cute ball of bunny fluff didn’t raise too many eyebrows on social media, it was the fact that the animal was wearing some sort of leash that sparked discussions on Twitter.

While G may drag Winnie around like a Love Island copper medal, the pet does enjoy a much more luxurious lifestyle behind the scenes.

The Sun produced an article in early February showing how Winnie sleeps on a velvet dogs bed and pillow, right next to Georgia’s queen-sized bed full of cushions and silky overthrows.

Georgia took Winne under her care in November 2018.

Opinion: Was it Humane to Bring Winnie on a Lead?

To be fair to Georgia Steel, she wasn’t dragging her pet rabbit across the pavement with a leash tangled around its neck.

She delicately carried Winnie and didn’t once treat him like anything but a rabbit.

Of course, rabbits are not designed for leashes but as we’ve seen with many reality TV stars, it’s all about the image.

Humane, yes. Cool, really not.
