Love Island boxer Idris Virgo: What is his professional record?

Love Island welcomed yet another Bombshell during Monday night’s (9th July 2018) episode 31 as Idris Virgo entered the villa.

The 25-year-old from Birmingham is a professional boxer by trade, although he only very recently stepped up from the amateur level.

Here’s the lowdown on Love Island’s hard-punching hottie, who’s looking to lay a killer blow on Kazimir Crossley and Josh Denzel’s relationship.

Is Idris Virgo a Professional Boxer?

Yes, although he is very new to the pro scene.

Idris turned professional earlier this year and later boxed on a Matchroom Boxers undercard.

A host of famous boxers are signed to the Matchroom boxing stable, including unified Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua and Welterweight Kell Brook.

Idris boxes in both the super-middleweight and light-heavyweight categories.

Is He Any Good?

It’s a valid question, but it’s safe to say that Idris could have a big future in the sport.

He has only had two professional bouts to date, however, he comfortably won them both on points.

The D&A School of Excellence boxer had his last bout just 10 days before entering the Love Island villa, where he defeated Scott Hillman 40-36 on points.

Does Idris Have a Boxing Nickname?

It doesn’t look like Idris Virgo has a boxing nickname, or at least not yet.

We’re sure something to do with Love Island could be squeezed in there should he cruise to success on the reality TV show.

An old Big Brother audition tape has also surfaced on social media, where Idris applied in 2012, calling himself “sexy chocolate” in the process.

Idris “sexy chocolate” Virgo – now that’s a hard-hitting boxing nickname!

Has He Competed at the Olympics?

Idris Virgo has never competed at an Olympics or represented the Team GB boxing squad.

Having now fought in the professional ranks it would be difficult for him to revert back to the novice level and enter the Olympic.

However, it is an option.

WATCH LOVE ISLAND EVERY NIGHT (EXCEPT SATURDAY) ON ITV2, AT 9 PM.
