There is a brand new police chief in town on ITV, with new cop drama Wild Bill landing on the channel in June 2019.

The new series will tell the tale of an American police chief who swaps his life in Miami to become the  Chief Constable of the East Lincolnshire Police Force.

Playing the lead role of Chief Constable Bill Hixton is 55-year-old Hollywood actor Rob Lowe.

The actor shot to fame in America following his role on The Outsiders and went on to star in St. Elmo’s Fire, The West Wing, Parks and Recreation, Wayne’s World and Austin Powers.

Rachael Stirling

Playing the role of Lady Mary Harborough is British stage and screen actress Rachael Stirling.

The 41-year-old actress has appeared in many TV dramas including The Bletchley Circle and Detectorists, as well as films such as Snow White and the Huntsmen and The Young Victoria.

Rachael is married to the lead singer of Elbow, Guy Garvey, who she has one son with.

Playing the tough local journalist Lisa Cranston is British actress Angela Griffin.

The 42-year-old actress is most well known for her roles on Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.

However, her most recent part was starring alongside Idris Elba in the Netflix series Turn Up Charlie.

Playing the role of Crime Commissioner Keith Metcalfe is British actor Tony Pitts.

Tony is no stranger to ITV cop drama’s, having previously starred in the BAFTA-nominated series Line of Duty.

The actor has also starred alongside Tom Hardy in BBC period drama Peaky Blinders and even made an appearence in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Playing DC Muriel Yeardsley in Wild Bill is up and coming British actress Bronwyn James.

The 24-year-old actress has already had large roles in Hulu series Harlots and BBC‘s Agatha Christie drama The ABC Murders.
