Everyone’s favourite funnyman Romesh Ranganathan is back on the BBC with a brand new comedy show.

The self-deprecating comic from Asian Provocateur now has his very own panel show series that will air on BBC Two in May 2019.

What is The Ranganation?

BBC’s The Ranganation is a new topical comedy show which discusses the week’s biggest talking points.

Covering both big trending topics and smaller stories, the series will see Romesh consult his very own focus group, The Ranganation to gather opinions on a variety of subjects.

The group aim to represent the face of modern Britain and highlight how the news affects us all, from the lighter stories to the big topics like Brexit and Trump.

Who will appear on the show?

Each week Romesh will be on joined on the show by a panel of guest comedians and news experts to help him discuss the stories at hand.

However, the main stars will, of course, be the 25 members of the focus group, who will range from your average ‘Cockney Geezer’  to Romesh’s own Mum, who is said to play a big part.

The casting call for ‘ The Ranganation’ said it was looking for ‘fun opinionated, passionate people from all walks of life’ meaning there is sure to be some characters.


When does The Ranganation start?

If you would like to watch the Ranganation, you can do so on BBC Two.

It will begin on Sunday 17th May at 9 pm.

The programme will then be available to catch up on the BBC Iplayer.
