SAS: Who Dares Wins 2019 has been welcomed back to Channel 4 with a somewhat surprising twist.

For the first time in its four-season history, men and women are competing side by side.

But that isn’t the only shake-up.

Chief instructor Ant Middleton has also inserted a ‘mole’ within the 25 recruits, with former Swedish Special Forces officer Petra Malm tasked with spying on the contestants throughout the season.

Here is everything we know about her!

Vicki, Sharissa, Rick (back), Nathaniel (middle), Milo (front), Julie (back), Mark (front), James, Tracey (back), Laura (front), Saranya, Louise (back), Stacy (front), Kat, Rich, Michael (back), James (front), Lou, Cameron, Sam, Hannah, Petra, Nadine

Who is the SAS: Who Dares Wins Mole?

The women referred to as the ‘mole’ on Who Dares Wins 2019 is Petra Malm (recruit number 9).

She is a former Swedish Special Forces operative and was the first women to join the ranks in her native country.

Petra served in the Special Operations Group for 10 years, where her identity had to remain a complete secret. She said that the secrecy of the role – because she was a woman – added intense physical and mental pressure.

Petra recently stepped down from active military service and now presents guest lectures about her involvement in the Swedish Armed Forces, explaining how she kept her life secret from the rest of the world for such a long period of time.

_______________________ "Mental training" During the autumn I have worked with mental training in order to prepare myself for a new exciting and very challenging adventure. When the only thing you know is that there will be extreme trials, you have to prepare on all levels. Biologically, humans fear darkness, narrow spaces, heights and water. Therefore, they become weaknesses in you. That is the reason why I expose myself to these particular situations. I train outside my comfort zone to be comfortable in uncomfortable environments and prepare for the unexpected. It strengthens my self-esteem and my self-confidence! Soon I can tell You about my adventure! #mentaltraining #specialforces #functionaltraining #lalo #laloathletic #escapismgear #sog #soulsplash #adventure #military
