Who is Stacey Dooley?
Stacey is an investigative journalist best-known for her raw documentaries that look at many social issues worldwide such as Stacey Dooley Investigates.
She considers herself a feminist and published her first book ‘On the Front Line with the Women Who Fight Back’ this year. (2018)
Stacey Dooley’s Parents
In an article she wrote for BBC Three, Stacey said: “My mum is my absolute hero. She’s the most remarkable woman in my life. It was just me and her for a long time growing up. She had me as a single mum, and moved with me down from Liverpool to Luton.”
Stacey cites her mum, Diane, for her incredible work ethic and confidence.
Her father left the family when Stacey was two and a half years old.
When she was in her 20’s Stacey’s dad passed away. Stacey told The Mirror she didn’t reconcile with her father before his death and that it was a “missed opportunity”.
The Strictly star has been in a relationship with Sam Tucknott for the past three years.
According to The Training Room, at the age of 12, Sam began a career in football when he joined Crystal Palace academy. But by the age of 19, his contract wasn’t renewed so he didn’t move into professional football.
He now works as a Pro Fit personal trainer and has done so since 2012.
Another member of the award-winning journalist’s family has to be her adorable bulldog named Bernie.
She and her boyfriend, Sam, are often pictured snoozing with ‘Bern’, admiring his cuteness or taking him out for a walk.
